Wheelin’ on the Beach at Alki Beach, hosted by NWRSCIS
Alki Beach, Tables 3-6, west of the Statue of Liberty Plaza (under the trees)
The Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury System (NWRSCIS) is hosting Wheelin’ on the Beach on August 6. Join the NWRSCIS for an afternoon of community, connection, and accessible recreation at Alki Beach.
When: Thursday, August 6, 1-4 p.m.
Setup begins at 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are welcome.
Where: Alki Beach
- Gathering area: Tables 3-6, west of the Statue of Liberty Plaza (under the trees)
- Beach access mats: East of the Alki Beach Park Bathhouse
- Accessible restrooms are available at the bathhouse.
Seattle Parks has installed permanent beach access mats at Alki Beach. During the event, additional AccessTrax mats will extend the pathway closer to the shoreline, providing greater access to the beach.
Participants are invited to:
- Take a scenic ride or stroll along the Alki Trail.
- Visit nearby restaurants, cafés, and ice cream shops.
- Relax with friends and family under the trees.
- Enjoy beach access closer to the water.

- Snacks or a picnic lunch
- Weather-appropriate clothing
A limited supply of cold beverages will be available. Participants are encouraged to bring their own picnic, snacks, or lunch.
Street parking is available, although spaces may be limited.
