Prosthetics & Orthotics hosts traveling fellows

Through the Initiative ’93 Technische Orthopädie Fellowship Program, Prosthetics & Orthotics hosts fellows every two years. The four-week traveling fellowship brings clinical professionals from German-speaking countries to major orthopedic and rehabilitation centers across the United States.
The program aims to expand clinical knowledge, share research ideas, and build international partnerships among surgeons and prosthetist-orthotists focused on limb loss.
This year, Professor Stefania Fatone, PhD, BPO (Hons); Teaching Professor Susan Kapp, MEd, L/CPO, FAAOP(D); Professor David C. Morgenroth, MD; and Affiliate Assistant Professor Dave Hughes, CPO, LPO, hosted five fellows from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The group visited Seattle May 7–8 and attended the 2026 Justus F. Lehmann Symposium.
