Congratulations to our 2026 graduates

Congratulations to everyone who completed their programs this June!
Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics
The Master of Prosthetics and Orthotics (MPO) Class of 2026 presented capstone projects on June 11 and graduated on June 12. All 10 students secured residency positions. Two graduates will remain in Washington, two will train in Texas, and others will head to California, Nevada, North Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, and Mississippi.
The cohort built strong connections through shared activities, including competing in the Ski to Sea race, celebrating the end of each quarter with a Lake Washington plunge, and playing hacky sack between classes.

Master of Occupational Therapy
The Master of Occupational Therapy program hosted its 26th Annual Symposium and Pinning Ceremony on June 10 at the Center for Urban Horticulture. All 24 students in the Class of 2026 presented capstone projects and received pins, marking their transition to full-time clinical training. Students will complete degree requirements in December 2026.
Doctor of Physical Therapy
The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Class of 2026 showcased their scholarly work at the annual Capstone Symposium on June 11 and celebrated commencement on June 12. The 49 members of the Class of 2026 are preparing to launch careers in physical therapy across the country, with many remaining in the Pacific Northwest and others pursuing positions and advanced training opportunities nationwide following the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) in July. Six graduates completed the NPTE prior to commencement, and all six passed on their first attempt, resulting in a 100% early-exam first-time pass rate.

New PhDs Cait Brown, Emma Gregg, Tyler Barrett, and Alissa Smith participated in the UW School of Medicine hooding ceremony. Faculty members Mark Harniss, PhD, Danbi Lee, PhD, and Carolyn Baylor, PhD, served as hooding faculty. Orli Shulein also completed her PhD, but did not participate in this hooding ceremony.
