Sarah Smith, MD, is a board-certified physiatrist specializing in neuromuscular medicine, electrodiagnostic, and diagnostic neuromuscular ultrasound.
Dr. Smith believes in a team approach to patient care as a physician trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She works closely with therapists and other specialists to address the needs of her patients. Regardless of diagnosis, her focus is on maximizing function and improving quality of life. Dr. Smith's clinical expertise is in diagnosing and treating neuromuscular diseases such as muscular dystrophy and ALS. Dr. Smith also works closely with her surgery colleagues at Harborview to rehabilitate individuals with peripheral nerve injuries.
