Cindy Lin, MD, FACSM, FAAPMR

Cindy Lin, MD, FACSM, FAAPMR, is dual board-certified in sports medicine and physical medicine & rehabilitation. Dr. Lin is a Clinical Professor of Sports & Spine Medicine in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She holds the Endowed Professorship of Sports and Exercise Medicine. She is the Director of The Sports Institute.

Her clinical interests include sports, spine and musculoskeletal injuries of all ages, athlete care, and sports concussion management. Her practice includes the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostics and injections and electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS). She enjoys collaborating with her patients to support them in injury prevention, recovery, and in helping them to stay active in sports and for life.

She serves on the Board of Trustees of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the ACSM Clinical Sports Medicine Leadership Committee. Before joining UW Medicine, she practiced at the Singapore Sports and Exercise Medicine Centre at Changi General Hospital and Novena Medical Center in Singapore. Her research interests include sports injury prevention, digital health, Exercise in Medicine, and women's and youth sports health. Dr. Lin provides medical coverage for national and international sporting events.
