Cindy Lin, MD, FACSM, FAAPMR, is dual board-certified in sports medicine, physical medicine, and rehabilitation. Dr. Lin is a Clinical Professor of Sports & Spine Medicine in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She holds the Endowed Professorship of Sports and Exercise Medicine. She also serves as Director of Clinical Innovation for The Sports Institute.
Her clinical interests include the care of sports, spine and musculoskeletal injuries in all ages, care of athletes, and sports concussion management. Her practice includes the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnostics and injection guidance and electrodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS). Her research interests include medtech innovations, sports injury prevention, Exercise in Medicine, and women's health.
She is an Exercise is Medicine Governance Board Member for the American College of Sports Medicine and serves on the NCAA Training and Performance Advisory Group. She practiced at the Changi Sports Medicine Centre in Singapore before joining UW. Dr. Lin has been involved in national and international sporting event coverage and has published many journal articles and book chapters related to sports and exercise medicine.
