Bryan Roehr, L/CPO

Bryan Roehr is a licensed and certified prosthetist orthotist and assistant teaching professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. His interests are in lower extremity prosthetics and orthotics from pediatrics to adults. Roehr graduated from the UW P&O program in 2003 and completed his orthotics residency at Newington Children's Hospital in Hartford, CT. He then worked for a large national P&O company as a staff CPO for the next 7 years followed by 11 years of practice management for Cornerstone P&O. With nearly 19 years of clinical experience, Roehr also was a clinical student preceptor that also performed guest lecturing duties within the UW's orthotic curriculum.

Teaching Interests

Foundations and future technologies of Lower Extremity prosthetics and orthotics. My teaching philosophy is to provide clinical based education combined with hands on learning with the goal of promoting true understanding to develop the beginnings of skilled clinicians that can enrich the field. My patient care philosophy is that there is something to learn from every patient. By always first listening to the patient and then providing a holistic treatment protocol that can assist them in achieving their unique goals.

Research Interests

My research interests are currently to guide research that assists in providing data to insurance companies to fight for higher wages within our field to increase the viability of our field.
