Amy Chambliss, MD

Title: Acting Assistant Professor

Amy Chambliss is a pediatric physiatrist and acting assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Chambliss trained in both General Pediatrics and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the University of Colorado / Children's Hospital Colorado. She is comfortable taking care of medically complex children in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation settings where she works. One of her long-term career goals is to reduce disparities in access to pediatric rehabilitation in local, national, and international contexts. Dr. Chambliss has spent a lot of time in Latin America where she became fluent in Spanish and has a background in global health with several publications in this area. Dr. Chambliss has also been a member of the International Affairs committee through the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM).

I enjoy working with children, their families, the rehabilitation team, and students/residents/fellows and believe we can all learn from each other. My background in general pediatrics and public health gives me a unique lens which I enjoy sharing with students, residents/fellows, and members of the rehabilitation team. One of my passions is collaborating with and educating allied health professionals about the field of pediatric rehabilitation.
