Cancer Rehabilitation

Overview
Cancer rehabilitation helps individuals maintain or regain physical and cognitive function during and after cancer treatment. Our research focuses on developing evidence-based interventions that improve quality of life, functional independence, and long-term outcomes for cancer survivors.
Research Focus Areas
- Prehabilitation – Improving strength, endurance, and mobility prior to major surgery in hopes to improve post-operative outcomes and quality of life
- Cognitive & Emotional Health – Understanding the impacts of cancer treatment and fatigue on cognitive health
- Daily Function & Work – Supporting return to daily activities and employment
- Survivorship – Studying long-term impacts and rehabilitation needs across the cancer continuum
Our Approach
We take a collaborative, patient-centered approach that integrates oncology expertise with rehabilitation disciplines to deliver research that makes a personalized and real-world difference.
Goal
To ensure that individuals not only survive cancer, but live well after it.
