UW Medical Center Rehab Advisory Council

At UW Medical Center, we recognize the important role that patients and families play in healthcare. We continually evaluate how we deliver care and seek ways to improve. To do that, we ask our patients and families for their input in several ways, including patient satisfaction surveys and patient advisory councils.

The Rehab Advisory Council is made up of patients, families and staff member volunteers who tell us about their experiences at UW Medical Center and collaborate with staff to make improvements. The Rehab Advisory Council has written a manual to help prepare patients, families and caregivers for the rehab process and resources to assist before during and after their rehabilitation: Rehab and Beyond Manual (PDF, opens in new window)

Other projects that the Rehab Advisory council has participated in include:

  • Establishing the Maria Hall Award, which recognizes advisors and staff in exemplary patient-centered care.
  • Providing feedback on hospital construction projects and accessibility
  • Providing feedback on patient safety, educational hand-outs, patient and valet parking and more.

Consider becoming an advisor! We want to hear about your experiences. For more information on patient centered care or becoming an advisor, please visit our website at: UW Medical Center Patient Resources
