Clinical Professor Cindy Lin, MD, FACSM, FAAPMR, and Professor Katherine Steele, PhD, of the UW Department of Mechanical Engineering, have received a $25,000 pilot grant from the UW Institute for Medical Data Science (IMDS), along with up to $20,000 in cloud credits from the eScience Institute. Their project, “Quantifying recovery after ankle injury to advance precision medicine,” was selected for its potential to improve population health and advance IMDS’s mission.
They are joined by co-investigators Clinical Assistant Professor Kenneth Chin, MD (Orthopedics & Sports Medicine), Professor Daniela Witten, PhD (Biostatistics), and PhD candidate Mackenzie Pitts, MS (Mechanical Engineering).
