REHAB 300 A – Introduction to occupational therapy

Are you interested in a health care career? Do you enjoy being creative and solving problems? Have you thought about working in mental health, with children, or in adult rehabilitation?

This elective course will introduce you to the diverse field of occupational therapy where OTs help individuals of all ages and backgrounds regain independence and participate in daily activities that give their lives value and meaning.

You will understand the roles, responsibilities, and practice settings of occupational therapists. The course provides foundational information, historical perspectives, and an overview of clinical practices from various occupational therapy practice settings. Lectures will include presentations from guest clinicians.
