The University of Washington Physical Therapy Residency Programs welcome a new cohort of residents for the 2026–27 academic year and recognize the accomplishments of this year's graduates.
In addition to their clinical training, residents contribute to the Doctor of Physical Therapy program by participating in classroom instruction and serving as clinical instructors during Applied Clinical Education experiences.
The programs also congratulate four residents who recently completed their training:
- Marlene Jensen-Hayfield, PT, DPT, completed the UW Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency on September 14, 2026.
- Matt Welinski, PT, DPT, completed the UW Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency on September 14, 2026.
- Heather Vega, PT, DPT, completed the UW–Seattle Children's Hospital Pediatric Physical Therapy Residency on September 14, 2026.
- Pete Theiler, PT, DPT, CSCS, completed the UW Sports Physical Therapy Residency on June 30, 2026.
Throughout their residency training, these clinicians participated in UW Doctor of Physical Therapy courses and shared their clinical expertise with students. The residency programs thank them for their contributions and congratulate them on completing their training.
Welcome to our incoming residents, and congratulations to our graduates.
