
P&O students Koopman and Amaya receive scholarships
Second year Master of Prosthetics & Orthotics students Audra Koopman and Jessika Amaya have received scholarships from the Orthotics and Prosthetics Foundation for Education and Research (The O&P Foundation), along with its affiliate the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC).
Koopman received an ABC O&P scholarship, which supports the academic success of 10 qualified students each year. Amaya received an ABC Scholarship for O&P Diversity, which supports the academic success of four racially or ethnically underrepresented students in the O&P profession each year. Each recipient receives a $10,000 scholarship.
This is the third year that ABC has provided these scholarships to help grow the pipeline of talented O&P professionals.
