Ny-Ying Lam, MD

We are delighted to share that Ny-Ying Lam, MD, has been appointed vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington, effective August 1, 2025.

A dedicated clinician, educator, and leader, Dr. Lam is an associate professor who specializes in neurorehabilitation and spasticity management. She currently leads the inpatient consult service and is co-director of the Functional Neurologic Disorders Intensive Outpatient Program. Since 2021, she has also served as chief of service at UW Medical Center, where she has led through collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to patient care.

In this new role, Dr. Lam will partner with department and hospital leadership to advance clinical strategy, improve operational performance, and support the delivery of high-quality care across all UW Medicine sites. She will also ensure that our clinical faculty are well-supported, aligned, and accountable in delivering high-quality, equitable, and evidence-based care.
