
Child receives APTA Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary PT Member Award
Acting Assistant Professor Claire Child, DPT, PhD, MPH, received an APTA Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy Member Award for Best CSM Platform at the APTA Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) 2026. The award was presented on February 12 during the Academy’s Membership Meeting in Anaheim.
Dr. Child was recognized for the platform presentation “The Feasibility and Safety of ‘LAMfit’: a Fully-Remote Digital Fitness Program for Lymphangioleiomyomatosis.” Collaborators on the project include Rachel Enyeart, PT, DPT (Class of 2025); Farzana Mahomedal, Doctor of Physical Therapy Class of 2026; Bridget Collins, MD; and Mary Beth Brown, PT, PhD.
The Academy’s annual awards honor members who advance its mission through excellence in clinical practice, education, research, and service.
