Rhonda M. Williams, PhD, ABPP-RP

Rhonda Williams is a professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and a clinician scientist at VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Dr. Williams is a rehabilitation psychologist with interest in developing behavioral treatment interventions for adults with traumatic brain injury, posttraumatic stress disorder, and chronic pain. She specializes in working with Veterans.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Williams specializes in working with Veterans returning from combat zones with cognitive concerns, pain, and distress. Dr. Williams has particular expertise in traumatic brain injury, chronic pain, PTSD, cognitive rehabilitation and hypnosis. She conducts neuropsychological assessments and provides individual and group therapy interventions to optimize health and functioning.

Teaching Interests

Dr. Williams provides clinical and research mentorship and supervision to predoctoral psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows specializing in Rehabilitation.

Research Interests

Dr. Williams’ research interests include clinical trials and developing behavioral and self-management interventions for chronic pain, mood, health behaviors, cognition and quality of life after injury or illness.
