Micah Sommer is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation resident physician in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Sommer graduated from Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where they focused on the treatment of massive irreparable rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, ACL tears and pediatric Rhabdomyosarcoma. During their time at the University of Washington, Dr. Sommer is pursuing his interests in Sports Medicine participating in coverage opportunities with Washington high school football, Husky Rugby, and the Seattle Marathon. Current research is in Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy, Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and Rehabilitation protocols post-Tenex.
