
Kathleen Cummer, PT, DPT, PhD

Kathleen Cummer is a physical therapist and Acting Assistant Professor in the Division of Physical Therapy within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Dr. Cummer earned her DPT at Ithaca College and practiced clinically in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. She completed her PhD at the University of Delaware's interdisciplinary program in Biomechanics and Movement Science, investigating return to sport after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). Her research spans faculty development, teaching and learning, the psychosocial aspects of recovery after injury, and the intersection of diabetes and physical therapy.
