Dr. Pacheco is the director of clinical education and assistant teaching professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. Prior to this role, she practiced as an acute care and critical care therapist for 13 years in the Seattle region. She collaborated in the development of critical care early mobility programs, developed competencies to enhance and standardize the acute care internship experience, and worked with hospital and nursing leaders to implement nursing driven mobility strategies to minimize hospital-acquired deconditioning. She also practiced at UWMC Northwest Hospital in Seattle, where she piloted the UW Multiple Sclerosis PT clinic in 2012. In addition, Dr. Pacheco served as adjunct faculty for the South College DPT program from 2018-2023.

She is a board-certified cardiovascular and pulmonary clinical specialist, an experienced APTA-certified clinical instructor, and has a passion for professional development.
