Amanda S. Barizo, CTPO

Amanda S. Barizo is a teaching associate in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine and an American Board Certified Prosthetic & Orthotic Technician. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at Washington Adventist University (Maryland) and her Prosthetic & Orthotic Technical Diploma from George Brown Polytechnic (Toronto). She is currently completing her Master of Materials Science & Engineering degree at the University of Washington.
Amanda previously held faculty positions at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in Metro Manila, as part of the team that established the first formal P&O training program in the Philippines.
In the Division of Prosthetics & Orthotics, Amanda is responsible for managing the labs and providing instructional support for fabrication projects in the P&O clinical courses. Amanda will also provide course instruction in Prosthetic & Orthotic Skills and Engineering Concepts and manage the Clinical Rotation placements for the second-year MPO students.
