PM&R Diversity Sub-I

The University of Washington (UW) Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Diversity Sub-Internship program provides training opportunities to visiting medical students interested in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the health sciences. Students will experience the exceptional medical training offered at UW by spending four weeks on a PM&R team performing the duties and functions of a medical student intern.

Program goals

  • Increase access to UW PM&R clerkship rotations
  • Enhance student awareness of career opportunities in academic medicine and PM&R
  • Encourage students to consider further PM&R training at University of Washington
  • Provide mentoring and networking for students
