Accessibility

The UW Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Compliance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)(link is external) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of compliance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. This website aims to be compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA.

We have conducted internal reviews in order to achieve compliance. However, we know that as we continuously update content, and work within the limitations of open-source platforms, our efforts may fall short, and new problems may arise. Website accessibility is important to us, and we would like to hear from you if feel your experience isn’t up to current standards. Our goal is to address problems in a timely manner whenever possible.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers on our site by email to rehabcomm@uw.edu.

We try to respond to feedback within a week.
