Human Motion Analysis Lab (HMAL)

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine has a state-of-the-art Human Motion Analysis Laboratory (HMAL) located in the Health Sciences building of the University of Washington. The HMAL seeks to provide an integrated and interdisciplinary environment for the study of human movement.

Researchers in the HMAL study biomechanical, neurological, and metabolic aspects of human movement. The HMAL facilities allow examination of movement through: 3D-kinematics, 3D-kinetics, videography, ground reaction force measurements, and dynamic EMG.

For further information, contact Robert Price, Research Scientist at 206.543.3720.
