Powell publishes fifth edition of OT textbook

Associate Professor Emerita and retired Program Director of the Division of Occupational Therapy, Janet Powell, co-authored the fifth edition of Zoltan’s Vision, Perception, and Cognition: Evaluation and Treatment of the Adult With Acquired Brain Injury. This is a best-selling comprehensive and evidence-informed textbook for occupational therapists.

Dr. Powell’s research and teaching expertise is in adult neurological rehabilitation and her research also included studies of the assessment of saccadic eye movements in adults. Dr. Powell has authored numerous journal articles, chapters in occupational therapy and optometry textbooks, and consumer resources. She has co-presented nationally with an optometrist/physiatrist team on assessing and treating visual impairments in adults with acquired brain injury.
