Heather M. Barnett, MD, PhD

Heather Barnett is a board-certified physician in Physical Medicine & Rehabiliation and assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine. She specializes in management and treatment of people with spinal cord injuries and other neurologic injuries at Harborview Medical Center. She is the director of the Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury System, which provides education, resources, and engagement opportunities for people with spinal cord injury, their friends and family, and medical professionals. She is passionate about improving care and outcomes among people with spinal cord injury at the both the individual and systems level. Her research focuses on improving health equity in the delivery of rehabilitation care.
