Murray Maitland, P.T., Ph.D.
Murray Maitland is a physical therapist and UW associate professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Teaching Interests
Dr. Maitland is the primary instructor for REHAB 504, an introductory
musculoskeletal physical examination course. He also works with second-year Division of Physical Therapy students in an advanced musculoskeletal course (REHAB 512) and REHAB 514 Systems Review. Dr. Maitland integrates active learning experience and web-based multimedia into his courses.
Clinical Interests
Dr. Maitland has focused on the care of people with musculoskeletal dysfunction caused by overuse, trauma and disease.
Research Interests
Current research includes clinical biomechanics of musculoskeletal injury centered on joint replacement and artificial limbs.
