Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury Model System
The Northwest Regional Spinal Cord Injury Model System of Care is centered within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at University of Washington Medical Center, as well as Harborview Medical Center (HMC), and Seattle Children’s.
As one of only 14 spinal cord injury (SCI) Model Systems of Care funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), the Spinal Cord Injury Model System strives to improve the lives of people with SCI. It provides highly specialized patient care, conducts clinically relevant research, and disseminates the most useful, evidence-based information to people with SCI and their families, as well as other researchers and healthcare professionals.
