Rehab and Beyond is a manual that describes the entire inpatient experience, and answers a wide spectrum of questions that patients and their families have before, during, and after the rehabilitation process. The manual was developed by our Patient and Family Advisory Council as part of their mission of patient outreach and education. Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) & Bladder Management
After Spinal Cord Injury, the bladder, along with the rest of the body, undergoes dramatic changes. Since messages between the bladder and the brain cannot travel up and down the spinal cord, the voiding pattern described above is not possible.
