Eric T. Chen, MD is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor, also called a physiatrist, who specializes in sports medicine.

Dr. Chen's clinical interests include the non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal and sports-related injury including tendinitis, muscle strain, ligament sprain, arthritis, joint pain and spine pain. He has expertise in ultrasound-guided and interventional spine procedures. Dr. Chen also has a special interest in the use of extra-corporeal shockwave therapy in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Chen is a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr. Chen's clinical interests include: tendinopathy, tendinitis, sprains, strains, arthritis, stress fracture, overuse injuries, shoulder pain, hip pain, knee pain, neck pain, back pain, rotator cuff tendinitis, hamstring tendinitis, patellar tendinitis, Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, epicondylitis, hip impingement, radiculopathy, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, steroid injection, cortisone injection, viscosupplementation, hyaluronic acid, platelet rich plasma, epidural injection, facet joint injection, and SI joint injection.
