Amy Starosta, PhD

Title: Assistant Professor

Dr. Starosta is an assistant professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Washington. She is an attending psychologist on the Inpatient Trauma Rehabilitation Unit at Harborview Medical Center. Dr. Starosta earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at University at Albany, State University of New York. She completed a residency at Denver Health Medical Center and a MIRECC/CoE VA Advanced Fellowship in Mental Illness Research and Treatment at the Denver VA.

Dr. Starosta's research interests include chronic pain management and the intersection of rehabilitation conditions (including TBI and SCI), chronic pain, and co-occurring psychiatric conditions, and integration of psychology into medical settings.
