Brain Injury Fellowship:

The BIM position for the 2017-2018 has been filled. The program will start accepting application materials for the 2018-2019 academic year position starting July 17, 2017.

Individuals may apply for the Brain Injury Fellowship by submitting all of the following:

  • Cover Sheet
  • Personal statement including the applicant's interest in Brain Injury Medicine, interest in the University of Washington program, and career goals after fellowship.
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Three letters of recommendation, including one from the applicant's residency program director.

Selection Criteria

Applicants for the Brain Injury Fellowship must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in their last year of residency or completed their residency in an ACGME-accredited training program.
  • Successful completion of USMLE or COMLEX.
  • US citizenship or permanent legal resident.
  • Eligible for full medical licensure in the state of Washington.

Successful applicants demonstrate a clear interest in Brain Injury Medicine, strong history of academic excellence, resilience and ability to work in diverse teams.

Applications from specialties outside of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) will be considered. Successful applicants from all specialties will demonstrate sufficient experience with acute inpatient rehabilitation care and rehabilitation medicine consultation to appropriately serve at fellowship level on clinical care teams.
