Diversity Recruitment and Retention Council

The Diversity Recruitment and Retention Council (DRRC) for the Academic Programs in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is an advisory group in service of the Department’s commitment to nurture an open and inclusive learning environment that welcomes and fosters the development of a diverse student body.

The DRRC reflects the Department's dedication to this purpose and our value of diversity. We recognize the importance of preparing rehabilitation professionals from a variety of backgrounds to best meet the rehabilitation needs of our increasingly diverse population.

The DRRC meets quarterly. The Council's primary goals are to:

  1. Advise and support the Department in the recruitment and retention of a diverse student body.
  2. Assist the Department in the ongoing development of an open and inclusive learning environment.
  3. Identify resources and strategies that support these goals.
