Master of Science Degree (MS)
Program Description

The Master of Science (MS) degree program is part of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in the University of Washington School of Medicine. The program uniquely blends academic components with clinical experiences. Research and training projects may include head injury, multiple sclerosis (MS), spinal cord injury (SCI), and other areas.

Clinical and research opportunities are available at the Center for Human Development and Disability (CHDD), a University of Washington affiliated program which provides service, training, and research related to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

In addition, students have access to the resources of the UW Medicine affiliates in the Greater Seattle Area. These include the University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC), Harborview Medical Center (HMC), Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center (CHRMC), and the VA Puget Sound.

A PhD in Rehabilitation Science is also offered at the University of Washington through the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

The University of Washington Master of Science (MS) program is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NCCU). This independent, non-profit organization recognizes higher education institutions for performance, integrity, and quality to merit the confidence of the educational community and the public.
